On the eyes: In this wine we see a medium-high color intensity, cherry red, purple and orange hues that indicate the maturity. Sharp, clean, and a bright, well-rounded wine. High density that indicates the alcohol levels.
On the nose: Complex with good aromatic intensity, fruity character, spices and wood. Distinguished notes of wood, eucalyptus and peppers. Fruit forward notes of blackberries, blueberries and prunes.
On the taste: A full bodied wine. We find a light touch of bitterness, and firm tannins. Long lasting, dry finish with fruity and wood aftertaste.
Pairings: We recommend this wine with rich dishes, intense cheeses, wood-fired meats, and spiced stews. With Mexican cuisine, its best paired with traditional style carnitas.
